Effective data management systems are becoming increasingly important in dialysis due to the growing number of patients and the rising requirements for documenting and reporting patient data. Manual data management is not ideal as it involves a great deal of administrative work and ties up valuable resources.

NephroCare is an electronic charting system designed to allow nephrologists, nurses, technologists, allied health professionals, and administrative staff to record, manage and report patient data.  It's licensed as a Class II Medical Device and is ISO certified; it's designed for seamless sharing of medical information among members of the renal health care team, providing continuity of care across modalities, disciplines and sites.

Using the Integrated Charting Hardware, NephroCare integrates with the Fresenius 5008 CorDiax to allow charting at the point of care, reducing charting errors and allowing caregivers to spend more time interacting with patients. NephroCare can also extract data using various reporting tools, which provides greater flexibility in analyzing patient charts. The health care team can use this data to monitor and improve treatment in the following modalities:

  • Pre-dialysis

  • Hemodialysis

  • Peritoneal dialysis

  • Transplant

NephroCare features multiple standard HL7 interfaces to integrate seamlessly with existing hospital systems (eg., Meditech, McKesson, Oacis, etc.) to provide a consolidated patient chart.

Planning and Implementation
With every deployment, our team of clinical and system specialists work in partnership with our customer to develop a detailed implementation plan to ensure that NephroCare is installed on time and on budget.

Training and Support
NephroCare clinical and technical support is available on an ongoing basis in both English and French. Our bilingual support staff are easily accessible by phone or email during regular business hours for all issues and are available by pager anytime for critical issues.
