Fresenius Medical Care Canada is currently recruiting for a full-time PD Specialist working out of Ontario. The position entails the following:

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

Supports our mission, vision, core values and customer service philosophy. Adheres to the Compliance Program, including following all regulatory and division/company policy requirements.

Provides superior service and product support to Canadian peritoneal dialysis customers within an assigned region.

DUTIES / ACTIVITIES:


CUSTOMER SERVICE:

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Promote our PD products in a manner consistent with the corporate strategies.
  • Establish and maintain adequate coverage of PD clinics whether located in hospitals or in the community in the designated territory according to the level of existing business or sales potential in each account.
  • Identify and develop a professional and business relationship with the key decision makers and respective PD clinical professionals (i.e. PD Nephrologists, PD Nurse Manager, PD Patient Care Coordinators, PD Educators) in each account in the designated territory.
  • Promote product sales through participation at International, National and Regional trade shows as needed.
  • Coordinate and conduct in-house and field based clinical training sessions for customers and sales/clinical staff.
  • Maintain a high level of clinical acumen and expertise in PD patient care, theory and clinical literature, including CAPD and APD and other PD regimens.
  • Assist Marketing in the development and implementation of a PD clinical product training program.
  • Assist Marketing in the creation of a new clinical tools and program for internal and external customers.
  • Participate in a minimum of a weekly call, provide a monthly report and prepare and present a quarterly business status review with manager.
  • Utilize company tools such as Sugar CRM, Contract Calendar, Blue Sheeting or Account Planning tools.
  • Maintain accurate and updated account information, inputted into Sugar CRM, i.e. names of key personnel, patient census and market share by PD product area (CAPD/APD etc.) on each dialysis facility in the designated territory.
  • Develop an annual business plan.
  • Adhere to all company SOPs and business compliance standards.
  • As requested, participate in business proposals to renew existing contracts or gain new business in a timely manner and respond to RFPs.
  • Manager field expenses in a manner consistent with corporate guidelines and territory budget. Submit a weekly expense report.
  • Document and report all customer complaints as per our SOPs.
  • Ability to travel throughout territory as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Must be able to physically cover and maintain regular face to face contact with customers over a large geographic area. EDUCATION:

  • Nephrology Nursing Diploma or equivalent

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Current Provincial Registered Nurse Certification of Competence.
  • CNA Certification in Nephrology Nursing (or to be completed within one year from hire date).
  • 3-5 years of current peritoneal dialysis experience is mandatory.
  • Current experience in patient and/or staff teaching.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with all members of the renal team.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft operating systems.
  • Ability to travel extensively within designated region and work flexible hours.
  • Bilingualism is an asset.

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

Responsible for the safe delivery and pick-up of dialysis products to home kidney patients and dialysis centers. Responsibilities include driving trucks, rotating stock and inventory checks. Requires operation of truck within Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and guidelines.

  • Loading and unloading of the truck, placing product where customer requests it and ensuring product is free of dust or snow.
  • Vehicle related responsibilities including ensuring the truck is kept clean inside the box and the cab and arranging for truck maintenance and repair as needed.
  • Maintains a satisfactory driving record.
  • Operates material-handling equipment safely and efficiently according to established procedures as required.
  • Carry and maintain contact with sites through cellular communication, ensure paperwork of deliveries is filled out daily.

  • Minimum 5 years driver experience, preferably in route deliveries.

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

Under the direction of the National Technical Service Manager, this individual will be responsible for the scheduling of all service requests affecting the Lachine Office. This scheduling shall include service calls, equipment installations and equipment evaluations. In addition to scheduling work requests, this person shall be responsible for creating and updating ISO procedures based on current “best practices”, as well as the implementation of these procedures in collaboration with the Director of Renal Services/ National Technical Service Manager.

DUTIES / ACTIVITIES:

  • Create and maintain Technical After Hours On-Call Schedule
  • Ensure that all responses to customers are dealt with in a professional, timely manner and are within the company/manufacturer’s specifications/guidelines.
  • Provide technical phone support as well as hands on service, maintenance and customer relations/meetings.
  • Assume On-Call responsibilities.
  • Perform other duties as required.

This position is predominantly based at a desk or workstation with some work required in the technical repair room. Travel for this position is average (some home patient/customers visits may be required).


EDUCATION:

  • 2-3 year diploma or degree in either Electronics or Biomedical electronics

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with 3 years experience in a Team leadership capacity.

Fresenius Medical Care Canada is currently recruiting for a full-time Technical Administrator, working on a 1-year fixed-term contract, out of Richmond Hill, Ontario. The position entails the following:

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

Reporting to the Technical Manager , this individual will support coordination of technical service activities in the office. The individual will support scheduling of all service calls, handle parts transactions and support IT related technical transactions.

DUTIES / ACTIVITIES:


DOCUMENTATION:

  • Administer and file all service reports in conjunction with the AX system.
  • Generate documentation required for billing services and provide customers with service reports.
  • Process technical documentation within the technical CRM system as it relates to billing, sampling results and technical services activities.
  • Handle parts transfers and assure that technologists receive delivery or required spare parts as required.
  • Administer return parts policy and work with corporate office to assure parts are returned to vendors for failure analysis or warranty credit.

  • Strong knowledge of desktop computer software applications, particularly in MS Office including spreadsheets and databases.

  • Participate in equipment evaluations and provide technical support/in-services as part of the selling process.
  • Provide technical support (phone and on-site) to Regional Sales Managers and/or to customers on all equipment-related matters and in a timely fashion.
  • Assume the responsibility of being “ON CALL” when required.
  • Adhere to ISO rules and regulations.
  • Help in keeping the Technical Department clean and in order.
  • Perform other duties as required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

This position is split between work in the field (home patient visits may be required) and office based (work required in the technical repair room). Travel for this position is significant. Moderate lifting will be required.

EDUCATION:

  • Graduate of a 3-year college program in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics or Instrumentation.

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant healthcare industry experience.
  • Bilingualism (French/English) is considered an asset.
